Believing first, then experiencing the manifestation of the belief is called faith or trust in the Bible. Nearly everything Yeshua (Jesus) taught was centered around believing first, then seeing. Much of the Bible speaks to that very concept, in fact. In Hebrews 11:1, Paul says, “Trusting is being confident of what we hope for, convinced about things we do not see.” (The Complete Jewish Bible) Those who have spent time in the church have heard many sermons, or messages, teaching believing is seeing. People spiritually journeying with God also put confidence in the concept of believing first before the thing asked for manifests. I don’t see much difference between the two concepts; the reality is, there isn’t.
We take so much for granted believing our bodies will function without our input or need to concern ourselves with creating the reality of function. In other words, we are trusting our bodies will continue to function without fail. Do you know how many breaths the average human takes every day? If we consider 16 breaths per minute that is 960 breaths per hour, 23,040 breaths daily, 8,409,600 annually, and in a lifetime of 80 years, 672,768,000 breaths. Staggering numbers, right? How many times does your heartbeat in a lifetime? Again, using 80 years as a lifetime, the heart would beat approximately 3,363,840,000 times! How many times have you wondered whether or not your heart was going to beat in the next few minutes, or if you were going to keep breathing the rest of the day? Unless you are or have been seriously ill, I doubt anyone has given heartbeats or breaths much thought. We assume our hearts will beat and we will continue to breathe, especially if we are healthy.
Every morning the sun rises in the east and sets in the west every night, birds migrate south for the winter, a full moon will appear every thirty days, and the earth will continue to turn on its axis indefinitely. None of us gets up in the morning and checks to make sure the sun is rising in the east, do we? Has anyone ever called their doctor without reason to schedule testing for their liver or kidneys to make sure they are functioning? I think it is safe to answer, “no”. We believe without needing to see the evidence.
So, the question becomes, why is it difficult to apply this same concept to the rest of our lives? Why is it more difficult for me to believe I will make it to the end of every month and still have food to eat, gas in the car, and even the smallest amount of money in the bank until I get paid again? In truth, the Universe finds it no more difficult to get us to our next paycheck than it does to make sure our hearts are beating every minute of every day. The problem lies with us. We are the ones who separate what is from what can or will be. We are fully confident the sun will rise in the east and set in the west, so why are we not confident our other needs and desires will be met? You read that right, needs and desires. God hears our desires, too, and the Universe works to bring them into our realities. Yeshua spoke to our desires when He said, “as you have believed”, or “ Go; let it be for you as you have trusted.” (The Complete Jewish Bible) There are other passages, as well, but you get the picture.
Proverbs 4:23 is interesting. Solomon, as the story goes, was the wisest man who ever lived so he would know right? Depending upon the translation used, the verse goes like this: “Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” (New International Version) The Good News Translation says it this way, “Be careful how you think; your life is shaped by your thoughts.” That sounds like we create our realities through thought, doesn’t it? The NIV Bible, used by many, alludes to the concept, and I say “alludes to” because in ancient times the heart was considered the center of man where intelligence, emotion, and spiritual understanding intersect. So, if everything flows from the heart as the NIV Bible states, our thoughts create our realities; our reality becomes what we think about. Positive thoughts create positive realities.
Whatever name we use for God, Divine Source or even the Universe is really just a semantic game, so in the end, we are all referring to the same thing. Those of us journeying with God on a less dogmatic, religious track believe as humans we are energy-based beings. In other words, we are energy, extensions of Divine Source energy, clothed in flesh. Quantum physics teaches everything vibrates with energy, and everything has a frequency of vibration, even God. I don’t claim to have more than a rudimentary understanding of quantum physics, so this is not an in-depth lesson by any means. Moving forward keeping vibrational frequency in mind, creating reality through the Law of Attraction (like attracts like) the vibrational frequencies of our thoughts will attract more of the same in our lives. It is not possible to vibrate at one level and attract what we need or desire from a higher vibrational frequency, so if our thoughts are largely negative, we will attract negativity, and the reverse is true.
We give little conscious thought to the ongoing beating of our hearts, the next breath, the sun rising in the east and setting in the west, but on a subconscious level we know these will continue as they have before. Granted, experience has taught us these are true and so our subconscious thoughts surrounding them are vibrationally positive, but, we all came into the world without any knowledge of negative vibration. We loved fully and unconditionally, we were, at a soul level, exactly as we were when we left God, or Divine Source to don our human clothing, and it was only through human experience we chose to embrace the negative experiences and words of others. We can raise our vibrational frequencies to create positive realities. It will take a bit of work on our part since we have embraced negative frequencies from others, but it is doable. What negative frequencies are you putting out into the Universe that are manifesting in your life? What is your plan to change the vibrational frequency and create a more positive reality…..?
